Winning finally after working with coaches adapting and fixing some leaks in my game. Started winning again but still no big cash that I am waiting on but more shots then before getting closer and closer. Got a 2nd place finish for 458 last night with great strength in my new playing style.

Living in Jaco is way better because we are living the high life.  Everything is here and being in a tourist town is a bit like home.  The food is amazing again.  The people are nice and helpful.  The condo we stay in is high class and nice.  WE overlook the city like in this picture.



Also it is nice to have a Wal Mart which is called MasXMenos!

Jaco Beach

Well it is almost Sunday. Fingers crossed for dreams to come true. Turbo night was a bust with the last tournament having the power go out.  180 game has been getting so good. Results are few and far between but you cant argue vs bad beats.  Still working on the 180 game and plan on getting to 8s next week and hopefully some of the bad luck shouldn't happen hands will allow me to get deeper.

We moved into a nice luxury condo in Jaco Beach.  A great view. Lake sized pool.  And a great city that we CAN WALK TO and not need an expensive taxi ride just to get food.  The city even has a Wal Mart which we went to last night.  The condo has cable internet and TV tho most the channels are in Spanish. Still we have a few English channels that play movies all day and we have nice amenities.  FINALLY I CAN WATCH COLLEGE FOOTBALL!

Jaco has a nice beach with a lot of surfers and is great for anyone to visit.

Backer Change+MOVING

After spending 1 year with coaching from Bfizz11 and recently being backed by him for 1 month I decided to change over to baZa88's staking.  I have a different deal where I can play more games that are also profitable for me and can lead to some big scores.   This change is one that I am both excited for but also kind of sad about because of all that I have learned with Bfizz11 and his great coaching ability/classes/sweats/reviews/chats.


Also we are moving to a very popular vacation condo that is very cheap with what could/should/better be better internet.  This way we don't spend 100 a month+ on taxis and can walk to the beach everyday and see people!

POKER

Yeah no updates for awhile because all we do is poker.

Dhilton12 moved into the house so now there is 6 of us.

I have had 1 big run in the 7.50 turbo which pays 1.3k but couldn't hold and went out in 12th.  Also went super deep in the 1 rebuy which pays around 2k and lost JJ vs q3 idiot....

180s are where allll my profit is coming from and I am getting better quick which I didn't think I'd need to do but it definitely helps.

Just paid rent from poker and up a bit more now trying to still get up more and move up and start beating high high stakes.

Started having problems with Internet and certain computers and the routers are such babies anyway.

Saturday college football tomorrow. Arkansas is a big game for us Crimson Nation.  Hopefully run good there.
Sunday poker after that. Maybe a dream can come true there as well.

Blog Post day #17

It has been almost 3 weeks and still no poker money coming in. Sent in forms about 2 hours ago and ate a good meal from the chef.  Hated plantains(the big banana looking things) or whatever they are called.

Speaking of food lets do a little review of fruits here:
There are thousands it seems of markets on the side of the road all should be safe and excited for your business if not go to the next one.  They all sell good fruits and vegetables too. If not go to the next one. HA
So pineapples are obviously good here and all over. And the bananas are obviously good but hard to find good ones and they don't keep very long.  3-5 days.
So I started off trying a fruit I have never had called Mangosteens:

 This is a quick treat it tastes like peach with vanilla ice cream and a dash of mango.

After that I tried this little treat:

The "Mamon Chino", also known as “Rambutan”, is a colorful and interesting exotic fruit found on medium-sized tropical trees producing one of the most popular convenience snacks found in Costa Rica.
Oh wait I stole that off a website but you crack it open with your fingers or teeth and there's a grape like thing inside that you can suck on like a jolly rancher. Lasts a while I prefer them a tad unripe and sour. which those are more yellowish normally.

Day 12 Cost Rica

Well 2 weeks into costa rica almost still not back on poker.  San Isidro has been a place we have visited a lot for food banking and shopping. The hardest thing in this country is to get exact products.  The computer stores. Yes stores all 4. Have been sold out of the most popular router for the past 2 weeks.  It is sad that they don't understand to buy 100 at a time instead of 10... which sell same day.
Currently we are waiting on citibank to email us back.  Then we will have net banking and be able to print out a bank statement and have everything sent into stars so they will approve us and allow us to play.

Sorry for short post but other things on my mind plus 10 conversations.

Costa Rica Day 2+3

Went to bed that night and woke up worked on internet and checked out town with a great local named Matt. Great guy interested in what we are doing and great with internet and such. Town is awesome. Tons of great restaurants and of course no chains so it really is good cooking.

Worked online alot past 2 days drank night 3. Grey Goose.  Tomorrow we are walking to the bank and for more food and to eat at a local cheap restaurant.  Then 2-3 more days til back online?
We are going to also work on getting the maid to clean haha because some things could be better...

Costa Rica Day 1

Woke up 4 hours before take off watched tv for 45 minutes took a shower then finished last stuff to pack. Laptop. Bags into car. ETC.  Redbull breakfast.  And off we went. 

After 20 calls to my other group I was heading down with I find out they are 2 hours behind and likely to miss the flight. But I send out prayers they make it.  UNANSWERED.  I board the plane last and head to the first stop where I get off panicking trying to make the plans somehow work some way. The plan became for me to magically find a hotel.  Well I then found out that the driver had to go 20 mins north of where I lived and stupidly offered him 140 instead of starting with 80 and paying up to 100…. It was originally gunna be 200 no negotiation.

Anyway so after blindly being driven by a nice guy who spoke decent English the 3 hour ride to dominical began.  Lots of sights to see.  Was the fun part but when we got to dominical of course its raining and the house is 2 miles up a dirt road. 1 LANE. About 9/10 of the way there we run into a fire truck putting out a fire…. Blocking the entire road.  The driver informs me he can’t wait and shouldn’t even have driven this far in the rain.  He offers to let me walk or drive me to get a taxi on the main road but I don’t speak Spanish and didn’t want to spend another 20 bucks.

I agree to walk believing it isn’t far and the rain isn’t too heavy.  Well the rain picks up as soon as I start walking and the hill is steep and I have a backpack a duffle bag and a rolling suitcase on a dirt road…. I am also out of shape and quickly winded as the rain keeps picking up.  So I get close to the top after 5 minutes of starting and stopping and by now the rain is pouring and I have a computer monitor and my laptop is a baby!  At the top of the hill I am glad to see the entrance of the neighborhood.  The first House isn’t mine so I walk to the entrance to my little community.   At the top of the hill I am practically dead tired.  Ready to collapse but It is just pouring.  I decide to scout and run my laptop to cover.  I go down a hill that is very slippery and luckily I am the first house so I run under cover and fall thru the door inside and take my laptop out and throw it on a towel.

But wait I left the other 2 bags under a large bush at the top of the hill.  I debate giving up at life and leaving it but know secretly that is not an option my computer monitor is in the bag.  So I run back outside as my stomach has already exploded with pain I have never experienced.  I get up the hill in more impossible pain and grab my 2 bags and start cautiously getting down the hill barely able to stand.  I bust inside again and fall on the couch loudly gasping for air.  I take out the monitor which is fine because I wrapped it in a towel. And stumble into a room and lay down hands over head for 5 minutes.  I get up and walk to the front and almost instantly the owner walks in and we start talking after which he and I walk thru the rain to his house and I meet the maid/chef who only speaks Spanish. She made a salad with tuna on it which I don’t eat normally.  Then she brought me eggs with ham and 4 slices of good toast. I ate all of this as it was deliciously perfect.  I grabbed a router from him before he left and went to USA.

I walked back to my house and my sleeping schedule has me going to sleep very early so I tried to get the internet to work but there is a guy coming by at 7am-8am I'm told to help set it up so I give up and go to bed after locking the doors and waking up a few times to noises. 

Day 1= Survived.

COSTA RICA PRE

1 Million Tasks associated with moving.
Plane Tickets then. Transportation when you get there. then Packing. Then go buy everything you need for 3 months.  Get together every phone number address and direction we need in an organized fashion.  Constant contact with the owner/main contact in Costa Rica. Back and forth everyday with emails.  Finding furniture for grind stations.

It never ends but tomorrow I am blindly going to see how good of a job I actually did!  Bank account is the most important thing left and I have to get there of course haha.  Then days of Starcraft while I wait for stars to clear. Maybe some party poker....

Results

Well lets see
I ended with 400 in roulette once busted 100 3 times. And won 140 another time in roulette.
I turned 25 a friend gave me in blackjack to 225 and cashed out up 200.
Oh and poker. 
First tournament I busted AJ vs qj for chip lead.
Second Tournament I took a chop with some cool guys in a tournament I would have won for 823.  I took 600.  2nd paid 573... so wasn't too much of a loss. +513
The next day I took 5th in a heated final table for double the buyin +110
The last day I took a flip for a great stack AQ vs 77.

The other news is I learned live cash.
I bought in for 100 twice the first day and busted both in 1/3
I bought in for 100 and cashed out at 200 at 1/2
After getting a good roll.  I busted 300 in 1/3 after winning from 100 to 300 in 1/2.  So the roller coaster continued to the last day where I turned 100 into 480 and felt the giant edge I desire in poker.

It's going to be a story for bluff magazine some kids who played around grinding making easy money and having fun. Then they go to a whole other level.  Better Play. Better dedication. Long sessions. Tunica Trip #2 Begins with schedule

Ok so I am heading out in 15 mins killing time now.  Super thunderstorm going on outside. But secretly it's a good omen cuz if it was sunny it'd be a repeat. RiGHT?
Anyway I think we are trying to make the WPO 100 buy in event tomorrow at 3pm..
Wednesday if there is still a stud promotion I will play that from 11am til 6pm unless my buddy tells me to play the stud tournament (200 buyin) then catch a free dinner with my crew and head to 1-3 tables holdem or to rail them in a few tournaments.
We will see how roulette goes haha. Bet red! Gunna stay away from slots even tho I made 50 last time.   Might even start off with roulette.

Hopefully this will be a good long trip if we make money obviously we stay.  We are putting the deposit down tomorrow on Costa Rica house. Pictures up after trip... Promise.

Tunica Trip #2

Well my buddy, Ballallday12, hit the bad beat jackpot last night quad queens to a royal.  SO he won like 35k and after giving his buddy 10k for staking into the game*lucky* he said trip 2 is on so tomorrow night I'm headed up to Tenn then over to Tunica with him and his buddy. 
The WPO is going on so cash is juicy and the tournaments pay out some nice big money should be a great opportunity.

After tomorrow we will officially be booked for Costa Rica this fall.  300 dollar deposit is going down.

More poker trips

Well It looks like I might be once again headed to tunica with my buddy. No cherokee this week.

I plan to then stay in Chattanooga and play their live games(mainly tournaments).
My goals in Tunica are:
1.Play some stud(waking up early) for bonus hands and easy profit. expect 100+ profit and buffet comp each day.
2. short stack some 1-3. super soft game will get off table after double up if needed.
3. GET in cheaper tournaments and win 1(overdue).
4. Get backed into WPO event 100 buy in. and ship obviously.

Costa Rica is coming together. We are between dates and houses right now.

Banking sounds super scary. I heard we have to open a corporation or speak spanish and do a savings account.  Talking to scotiabank(canadian) now and they are giving me crazy requirements.

Update Time

A lot has happened since then finally got some trips going.

Great trip to Tunica but no poker results took about 600 and ended down 200.  Met a lot of people. I felt like a celeb and got comped for the buffet everyday.  Got about 100 in food comps. Got about 50 dollars in red bulls and 250 dollars in alcohol for about 20-25 in tips.  And my buddies paid for the room and put me in a few tournaments and cash games.  Shoutout.

Yesterday I went to Cherokee and tried out their electronic poker room.  It's quite close to online poker and took me back to my first days grinding because everyone was a donk electronic player like I first was. My experience on electronic poker gave me a huge edge and after buying in twice for 100 at 1/2 I cashed out twice with 300.  Donked out of the tournament with a hero shove over limpers and an awful donk call puts me out.   Oh well that was for 1.8k. I should be going back every other week now especially if I keep doing good.

I'll be Going back soon apparently but we must discuss the biggest topic in my life....
MOVING TO COSTA RICAAAA.
Online poker is still my goal and I look at it as my only life choice left.  My buddy is planning on going and I am going to try and go along if school gives me time off.  I am giving up some things. but it's for 4 months and I expect to make at least 5k a month and could hit up to 10-20k a month!  or the dream big cash for 30k a month. 
I will come back and graduate in the spring of course. No way I throw 3.5 years of school down the drain and this gives me a fall back plan

After graduating I plan to go to Vegas in the summer and play side events with my great roll from online poker in Costa Rica.  I will obviously try and win the WSOP 1k event or 2.  I then will move back to Costa Rica til USA poker is good and juicy and back.  Or if live is better for me move to Cali?

Poker Tragedy

I might be one of the best off grinders who are just starting to chase the dream...
I have to finish school this fall anyway and now have a true reason to finish school.  I can start reading more and making my game better and already have logged a lot of experience.
The downside is I feel i was just about get a break with deep runs every time i just 4 table mtts and refined my cap cash game and was riding another upswing that i think could have really gone somewhere.  I have currently found a way to play on ftp but this is by no means an answer and receiving the money will still possibly be a battle

I now have a reason to push my live play.  Be it free bar poker or legit games. I'm working on Tunica trips and Chattanooga Trips and going to find out about the games here around me.
I will be able to study more and focus on finishing school with a bang. I will possibly be able to go to vegas still and grind this summer or take a cruise where I grind as well.
Finally I can start getting back in shape. Good life thing to do.

Well this was my post just got donked out of the daily dollar and going to go cook some food and do some school work.  Should run... but.... baby steps!

After making the  money I got AJ all in vs 47 idiot for half my stack then decide to get it in again with a straight with j10 the guy flips over AJ on the turn for... Ace high great job  sped stick and I get 3 outered to fail at getting back into the tournament.......
